Edgar was a poet, scriptwriter, comedian and Music Hall performer, best known for writing many of the monologues performed by Stanley Holloway, particularly the 'Albert' series. The postcard, not postally used, shows Edgar in elaborate Female Dress probably as a Pantomime Dame. Undated, circa 1910. Image available.
