Landscape 4to. Limited edition. One of seven hundred and fifty copies. Original blue cloth, gilt, with a printed label to the upper board. Illustrated throughout in colour and black and white. A few very small marks on the back board, otherwise a fine copy. 'Over a short period of thirty-six months of the war, until he was tragi…cally lost in Iceland during September 1942, Ravilious made well over a hundred watercolour paintings of British military subjects, with a number of fine lithographs of submarine interiors.' The artwork is beautifully reproduced and is accompanied by over 280 personal letters, diary excerpts and official memos. A lovely copy of a definitive work.
