Hardcover. Complete in 2 Vols. 7 x 10.5in. 1440pp. Profusely "embellished with maps and engravings." Bound in leather of the period with gilt titling and ruling. Both volumes are in VERY GOOD condition showing the extremities well shelf rubbed, some scuffing of the boards and spines, text-block with extremely light scattered fox…ing confined mostly to the tissue guards of various plates and the margins of some plates, a single sentence has been lightly underlined on the first page, otherwise the bindings are strong and tight, the texts are unmarked, and the boards remain distinct. As pictured.
