The binding is square and tight, but pops a bit when opening the book. The jacket has mild edge wear and is protected in a Mylar archival sleeve. Laid in at the front of the book is a newspaper article on the 1977 Indy 500, featuring photos of the drivers and notation after the race. Tom Sneva had the pole and finished second. AJ Foyt had the 4th position and won the race-his record-setting 4th Indy 500 Championship. Another notable piece of history for this race was the first woman driver-Janet Guthrie.
