The magazine appeared in June 1941, also as Organ of the College of the State of Guanajuato. Among its original guidelines was conducting research on any manifestation of art, science and aesthetics. Its pages include poetry, criticism and history of literature, biography, as well as articles or essays on philosophy, economics and science. Among its most important sections, is "First plans", with which he opens the magazine and deals with various current cultural issues, and "Essay of a general bibliography of the State of Guanajuato", by Manuel Sánchez Valle, which aims to contribute to the study of the history of the State. The number January-February 24, 1945, was announced as an Organ of the University of Guanajuato. In that year, the State College was transformed into a University. The issue commemorates the fifth anniversary of the publication. Both this issue and the next two contain an "index of authors appearing in the first 24 issues." In its sixth year of life, Threshold turned from a 16-page monthly gazette to a 100-page quarterly magazine. In July 1948, with the number 31, the second period of the magazine began and, with it, it increased in size. The new director is Eugenio Trueba. There is a slight change in the sections. "Close-ups" disappears, illustrations are included, and the number of pages is reduced. In December 1951, the magazine celebrates its tenth anniversary and Manuel Leal takes over as director. Codz.
