Hardcover. Condizione: Very Good. No Jacket. Edward Everett Lombard (illustratore). 1st Edition. This offering is a vintage copy of East of Cape Cod written by Asa Cobb Paine Lombard Jr. and illustrated with older black-and-white photographs from his grandfather Edward Everett Lombard. The book was published by Reynolds - DeWalt Printing Inc. in 1976 and appears to be a First Edition but is not specifically stated as such. The book is NOT an ex-library copy and is in very good + condition and does not have a dust jacket but does have nice blue cloth hard cover boards with a color illustrations centered on the front. It is 6 1/4" by 9 1/4" and has 158 pages with a Table of Contents - a Bibliography - and many of the fore-mentioned black-and-white photographs. It MIGHT be signed on the front loose end page . . . but it doesn't look like Asa Cobb Paine Lombard Jr. to me. It's in nice enough shape that it could be given as a gift. Thank you!

First White script for the 1931 Pre-Code film. An early starring performance for Carole Lombard, made prior to her 1934 star breakthrough in Howard Hawks' "Twentieth Century." Included is a studio still photograph of Lombard and Lilyan Tashman from the film, with the unusual feature of having an associated quote from the scene added to the negative at the bottom margin. In this romance, an aspiring writer encounters a wealthy publisher who gives him an advance on the first two chapters of his book. Meanwhile, his wife helps out by becoming a chorus girl in a nightclub revue. Tall white studio self wrappers, noted as TALL WHITE SCRIPT on the front wrapper, rubber-stamped production No. 1794, dated February 24th, 1931, with credits for playwrights Hackett and Goodrich, screenwriters Kober and Unsell, director Sutherland, and producer Sheldon. 146 leaves, mimeograph duplication, with blue revision pages throughout, dated 2-25-31. Pages Near Fine, wrapper Very Good plus, side stapled.
