Aggiungi al carrelloHardcover. Condizione: Good. Fair dust. Very good and clean pages. Some moderate cover wear. Very rare dustjacket has average wear and some staining, plus a piece missing from the bottom of jacket spine. ; A volume in the Bound to Win Stories. From the dustjacket flap: "The most important outpost of the Seven Seas Shipping Corpo…ration where Phil Hardy is employed is the beautiful island of Pernambia in the Caribbean Sea. But tragedy comes to the force of men employed by the company on the tropical isle. First thefts, then drownings are reported to the home office back in the city. Mr. Dennison, the president of the Seven Seas company, having complete confidence in Phil sends him on a secret mission to Pernambia. Aboard the Night Wind, one of the company's vessels, Phil meets a strange character, Jeffrey Jukes by name. The latter turns out to be connected with the outrages at Pernambia. When Phil reaches Pernambia he is plunged headlong into the mystery which he attempts to solve. His expericnces there, his meeting with Ben Webster, another boy of about his own age, who helped him manfully, and the manner in which Phil met his greatest test all combine to give us a most exciting story." ; Small 8vo 7½" - 8" ; 208 pages.
