The introduction formulates starting points of the study. The second chapter constitutes a survey of previous research on Erzya phonology. The third, largest chapter contains the acoustic analysis of Erzya prosody. The last chapter of the book is a summary of the main results of the research. The primary data are presented in the Appendix.
