Slight spine lean. 210 pp. This editi…on combines "The Book of Truth" with a "second, augmented" edition of The Teachings of Osiris". The spiritual teachings of the ancient Egyptian god Osiris were purportedly "dictated", or channeled through H.S. Randall-Stevens (El Eros). The introduction written by Dr. W.P. Miles, a frequent witness to "the so-called inspirational writings and automatic drawings as they were actually produced." Dr. Miles writes that the writings and drawings started in early February of 1925.occurred daily.the rate was exceptionallly fast, was without erasure Explanation for the drawings came, through the writing at the end of September, 1925. The writer as "a man who at no period of his existence has shown any inclination to draw or to have acquired any knowledge .of Egyptian history and Egyptology generally.A more tenable hypothesis is that the work is that of a Superior Intelligence coming from beyond and using the writer as a medium. The language used is of simple beauty and is remarkable for its clarity and intellilgibility." (from Introduction by Peter [Dr. W.P.] Miles.) The original manuscripts of El Eros were not punctuated and dictated continuously and rapidly. Earlier editions had been revised and punctuated or wording altered. However, the appendices A and B, which the table of contents list as the final two sections, are present, the latter ending halfway up the final page, so there may not be missing pages, after all, and the gap may be caused by the way the book was laid in storage. At time of listing there are no other copies of this work listed online.
