Wraps. Condizione: Good. J. D. Challenger (Cover Illustration) (illustratore). 104 pages. Illustrations (some in color). Advertisements (many in color). Minor cover wear. Some light corner creasing. Front cover scuffed where mailing label was removed. Louis Dearborn L'Amour (March 22, 1908 - June 10, 1988) was an American novelist and short story writer. His books consisted primarily of Western novels (though he called his work 'frontier stories'); however, he also wrote historical fiction (The Walking Drum), science fiction (The Haunted Mesa), non-fiction (Frontier), as well as poetry and short-story collections. Many of his stories were made into films. L'Amour's books remain popular and most have gone through multiple printings. At the time of his death almost all of his 105 existing works (89 novels, 14 short-story collections, and two full-length works of nonfiction) were still in print, and he was "one of the world's most popular writers". Published bi-monthly and lasted for only 12 issues. This issue is perhaps most noteworthy for the interview with Elmore Leonard. Presumed First Edition, First printing thus.

Published bi-monthly and lasted for only 12 issues. Only one of the issues contained a story by Louis L'Amour (The July 1995 issue.) There is also a very scarce "special advance preview copy", distributed in November 1993, as a gift to members of the Western Writers of America. This advance preview copy does not contain the interview with John Jakes that was found in the regular premiere edition. The cover, inside layout, advertisements and page numbering was also a bit different. This copy contains the John Jakes interview and thus is not the advance preview version.
