Hardcover. Condizione: Good. No Jacket. Elizabeth MacKinstry (illustratore). This offering is an ex-library copy, in good condition, of Peer Gynt written by Henrik Ibsen and decorated by Elizabeth MacKinstry. The book does have library markings, and library wear . . . and the look of an older Heritage Press book. The book as published by Doubleday, Doran & Company, Inc. in 1929 and is a stated First Edition, though at best that would have to be an American First . . . as it's a translation of the original. It's not a small book, and it's heavy. The book is 7" by 11 1/8" and has 287"thick" pages with black-and-white illustrations throughout as well as several color plates which are not included in the page count. I'd heard of the book, but didn't realize that it's a play written in poem form. (This from a math major so you'll have to excuse my ignorance please.) Thank you!
