Fotografia
Collection of eleven vintage photographs from the 1976-1977 syndicated television series, including ten 4 x 5 inch color photographs and one 8 x 10 inch black and white photograph. Most with mimeo snipes and provenance labels affixed to the versos. Celebrities depicted with Dolly Parton include: Tennesse Ernie Ford, Robert Keeshan (as Captain Kangaroo), Anne Murray, Randy Parton, Kenny Rogers, Jim Stafford, and Anson Williams. The first-run syndication country-music variety series, "Dolly," premiered on September 13, 1976 and aired for one season of 26 episodes. Despite the show's very high ratings, the series concluded after Parton asked out of her contract for a variety of reasons. Parton would host another variety show of the same name on ABC in 1987-1988, which aired for 22 episodes, premiering on September 27, 1987 and ending on May 7, 1988. Ten 4 x 5 inch photographs. Near Fine. 8 x 10 inch black and white photograph. Near Fine.
