As one of the few sources providing detailed insight into the everyday life of an upper-class man during the Restoration period, the diary of Samuel Pepys has become an important primary source. Alongside references to the political and social happenings of 1660 to 1669, Pepys also offers eye witness accounts of events such the Plague of London and the Great Fire of London. As well as sharing more personal revelations, the naval administrator also discusses his routine, the weather, finances, and meals. In volume II, pages 199-122 are untrimmed.
