Zwar weiß man seine beiden Komödien als Gipfelpunkte der Gattungsgeschichte zu würdigen, der Kleistschen 'Strategie' des Komischen aber - und ihrer Geschichte von Lessing bis Freud - hat man die gebührende Beachtung versagt.
