Erfurth, Hugo (illustratore). First edition. Small 4to., 17 pp., plus 16 full-page b&w photos. Illustrated self wrappers. Near fine. Erfurth (1874-1948) was especially noted for his portraiture; the sitters here include Max Planck, Heinrich Zille, Walter Gropius, and others. Includes list of ninety portraits with dimensions and biographical details for each sitter. With an essay by G.F. Hartlaub entitled "Magie der Ähnlichkeit." Prepared for an exhibition, listing 90 entries. Text is in German.
