Paperback. Condizione: new. Paperback. This book presents an in-depth guide to transcatheter arterialization of the deep veins (TADV). TADV or deep venous arterialization (DVA) is an emerging technological and clinical solution for patients with peripheral artery disease who have no options for limb salvage based on conventional vascular techniques. It serves to salvage limbs in patients who would otherwise be amputated. For TADV to be successful in preventing amputation patient selection, pre-procedure imaging, technical expertise, and post-operative wound management must be optimized. The book takes a step-by-step approach to TADV to guide the clinical team through the patient journey from meeting a potential candidate for TADV through to saving the leg. Chapters provide a reference for patient selection, procedural steps, and post-operative wound care management. This is an ideal guide for vascular surgeons, interventional radiologists, interventional cardiologists, trainees, and all medical professionals caring for patients with severe peripheral artery disease potentially facing amputation. The book takes a step-by-step approach to TADV to guide the clinical team through the patient journey from meeting a potential candidate for TADV through to saving the leg. Hardcover. Condizione: Fine in Fine Archival Box. Unique. Unique. Hardcover. "This miniature is about Rookwood Pottery, a studio founded in 1880 by Maria Longworth Nichols, who fell in love with the Arts and Crafts Movement. Nichols desired to bring these European and Oriental designs to America. Throughout its run, Rookwood became known for several styles of design, glazes and unique shapes. I choose to bind this book with stone veneer in the hopes that it would capture the textures and feel of decorated pottery. The assemblage of petals made from wood veneer and handmade paper are pulled from one of the vase designs illustrated in the text. The box is adorned with the famous R-P monogram, which was adopted in 1886 as the studio?s identifying mark. A single flame was added for each year after 1886, thus the box denotes the year 1887." [artist statement]. Tight, bright, and unmarred. Stone Veneer Dorfner Binding; spine covered in light grey buffalo skin; stone veneer covered boards with veneer and handmade paper tabs; sewn on snakeskin tapes; novasuede fly leaf made of handmade Katie MacGregor paper; leather wrapped endbands; sprinkled edges in the rough. Book housed in a dark grey buffalo skin clamshell box with a light grey buffalo skin back-pared onlay; trays covered in handmade Katie MacGregor paper and lined with Novasuede; box stamped in light grey foil with book title. 32mo [7.7x5.7x1.2cm]. Aggiungi al carrelloPaperback. Condizione: new. Paperback. The essays published here were originally chosen as part of a guest post series on SmallStack, an emerging online community. In their original form, each essay was a web post and a newsletter to our community. Supporters and friends filled the comments with messages of understanding and kinship. "All we have is small," by Jamie Wallace, chips away at the barriers we construct around perfection and how long it takes to achieve our own impressions of success. Alexa Spiegel's "Is Substack better than therapy," and Amanda Gibson's "A new diagnosis" each tackle how we heal through our connections with others, even-especially-when that healing challenges our identity. "Small is where the best connections are made," by Sarah Teresa Cook, "Enough to be happy," by Kate Brennan, and "Beyond questions big and small" by Sarah Sadie use introspection and delightful imagery in embracing small as its own choice in the face of growth metrics. They help us view the world through the lens of laughter, wonder, and gratitude. Would any book about small stories be complete without a bakery and a moment spent in wonder at how monkeys and humans form friendship through communication? Rachel Shenk's "The stay small recipe," and Dr. Sanjida O'Connell's "What monkeys can tell us about community" show us that hunger and curiosity brighten our journey of discovery toward understanding small.Eight of our guest post authors join us here, each having crafted uniquely touching pieces about love, acceptance, grief, joy, creativity, and community. Our call to the community to create something new, sincere, and insightful about being small brought many carefully crafted essays into our hands. This book is a celebration of that work. A collection of resilient voices share their personal takes on what makes their size, or lack thereof, powerful. Eight outstanding authors provide their insight into what makes small just the right size. This item is printed on demand.
