Comb Binding. Condizione: Very Good. Errett Callahan (illustratore). Three volumes produced by or under the direction of Errett Callahan, famed experimental archaeologist/lithic technologist from Virginia who's concept of living archaeology involved taking undergraduate students for several months to return to the land, live using the technology of one of the cultures that lived their previously, write about their experiences, and, months later, observe what has happened to the material remains they left. Illustrated with photographs and many line drawings. The first volume has Callahan's day-by-day account of the activities and his musings of the significance of what happened. These reports are extremely scarce. 155 single-sided pages, 85 single-sided pages, and 456 double-sided pages. The Old Rag report has an extensive index. The Pamunkey report is a photocopy with the abundant line illustrations looking fine, but the fewer photographs of tool edges not discernabvle.
