First edition hardback. The binding is rubbed and the hinges are a touch weak. The endpapers are browning and have a Methodist Sunday school bookplate. There is some light edge foxing. Illustrated, 441.

A good undated hardcover in somewhat faded red cloth covered blind-stamped boards with floral motif with black lettering bumped/rubbed to the corners, the blind-stamped spine with gilt lettering is bumped/rubbed to the ends, internally a "prize dedication" on the front endpaper (dated 1925), cream occasionally slightly foxed pages tanned to the text-block edges. Black and white illustrations. Carefully packaged and posted within 48 hours from our wee bookshop in Scotland.

Prettily decorated red cloth covers are bumped and rubbed along edges, and spine cover has darkened on the shelf. Dedication on inside fly page. Pages are beginning to tan at the margins, but plates are bright and in VGC. Spine is secure overall, but sections of book are beginning to part in a few places.
