In doing so, I have researched the logistics involved in sea piracy operations. The failure of the opposing actors is also explained. The factors responsible have been broadly categorised as political and economic. Using data across various nations, I have argued how these factors are prevalent in Somalia alone. Other regions have been examined and the results have shown that within those regions, not all factors under consideration have existed at one time. The book links these factors to one another and explains the linkage politics between them.
