Plainly this edition was published after the Taylor one, and no evidence has been found of an edition later than 1870 in the 19th century, which the style of the spine and the hand writing of the former owner, who made many notations on back paste-down indicate. Paper mildly age-toned and foxed but of fine quality--open tear an smudged first page (p.5), a stain on upper corner of p. 7 (not a damp stain), and some chipping of upper corners of upper corners of first few pages and chipping at crown and foot of leather spine; ink droplets on p. 51. 12mo. A volume this rare deserves rescue and price is set to attract a benefactor.…
