Soft cover. Condizione: Fine. 1st Edition. This is the first separate appearance in book form of the short story on which the Oscar winning film was based. It appeared in the US as a story in the New Yorker, and was then included in a short story collection. Fourth Estate issued the short story in this dedicated special edition, as a high quality softcover edition with French Flaps. At the Brighton Festival the author signed this first printing of that Fourth Estate edition. VERY RARE INDEED A SIGNED FIRST.
