The Excelsior Stove Co. was first established as the Excelsior Stove Repair; the name changed to the Excelsior Stove and Manufacturing Company in 1896. John Fisher was president and treasurer; Nicholas Kohl was vice president. Anton Ohnemus was secretary; Theodore Ehrhart was superindentend. The company employed 400 men with the office and foundry at 509-615 South Front Street. Quincyans usually referred to the company as the "Ex." (Carl & Shirley Landrum: Quincy, Illinois). Originalbroschur, äußerst stark berieben und bestoßen, geknickt und beschädigt. Der Schnitt ist stark gedunkelt, seitlich verschmutzt und fleckig. Das Titelblatt ist fleckig.
