This is a nicely illustrated collection of three classic stories by CHARLES DICKENS. 1875-1876; New York Book Concern / Harper & Brothers; New York. This is a singular volume from an antique set of "Dickens's Works." The stories in this volume are as follows: "Barnaby Rudge" (1875),"A Tale of Two Cities" (1875), and "Great Expectations" (1876). The volume features both in-text and full-page illustrations throughout by J. Barnard, F.A. Fraser, and "American and English Artists." Nicely bound in three-quarter leather with five raised bands and gilt lettering on the spine. All edges of the text block are stained red. Condition: Some mottling to the cloth on the front and back covers. The front cover lifts up from the text block just a bit. Bright gilt lettering on the spine. Light rubbing to the leather at the top cover corner tips. The top-right corner of the Barnaby Rudge title page has torn away. There is a crack at the front hinge between the end paper and pastedown - despite the crack, the front cover is still firmly attached and is not shaky. The back cover is firmly attached. Mild foxing to the text pages, though heavier foxing on the first few and last few pages. Page 49 in Great Expectations has light staining at the outer edge. Pages 32 & 33 in Barnaby Rudge have some stains at the bottom edges. Overall the book is in Good condition.
