Notou-se uma diferença entre os resultados estatísticos para os valores máximos e mínimos obtidos para a correção de terreno, calculada por ambos os programas, utilizando os MDTs do SRTM e do ASTER nas resoluções de 5 km, 2 km e 1 km. Concluiu-se que essa diferença se deva à necessidade de dividir a área de estudo para as maiores resoluções e também às diferenças altimétricas entre os MDTs, mais evidentes na região de maiores altitudes, como é o caso da Serra Geral do Estado do Rio Grande do Sul.
