Hardcover. Condizione: Good. The early Anglo-Saxon cemetery at Blacknall Field, Pewsey, consists of more than 100 graves, all of them inhumations apart from four cremations. Interments included men, women, children and infants. The presence of infant graves from this period is exceptional. The majority of the adults and juveniles and some of the children were accompanied by grave goods. Some of these, such as the swords and the gilded brooches with Germanic animal ornament, indicate the high status of the deceased.
