Undated c.1960s. Yuri Olesha (1899 - 1960) was a well-known Soviet author. The Three Fat Men is a fairy-tale, a fantasy full of unusual transformations and exciting, vivid adventures. The scene is set in a fantastic land ruled by three greedy fat men, who are engrossed in eating and entertainment in the palace. Meanwhile, there are curious happenings outside the palace walls. The Three Fat Men was a favourite with all Soviet children and ran to over 30 editions.
