The first and last few pages are foxed. Bin…ding with some small wear but still a fine copy. The book - describing hundreds of Kentish graves, Celtic and Anglo-Saxon, excavated by the Rev. Bryan Fausset, d. 1776 - though finished in 1773, was only published after a Liverpool jeweller and goldsmith, Joseph Mayer, bought the collection and the manuscript and had the journal printed. The 7 very fine hand-colored plates show Anglo-Saxon jewellery.
