Sie werden auf vielfältige Weise verbreitet, insbesondere über die Medien, die dann eine zentrale Rolle bei der Förderung des 'begehrenswerten Körpers' spielen. Sie sind in unserem Leben allgegenwärtig und bekräftigen und erinnern uns ständig an die festgelegten Normen. Der Druck, den sie auf die Individuen ausüben, steht im Mittelpunkt dieser Untersuchung.
