Offered here is interesting piece - a vintage 1953 First edition copy of "The Psychosomatic Concept in Psychanalysis", edited by noted psychoanalyst and physician Dr. Felix Deutsch. This copy belonged to Dr. Harry A Brandt and bears his signature and a vintage blank prescription from Dr.… Brandt inside. The book shows a good bit of wear at spine and extremities having been in storage for so long, but overall a nice copy. The prescription is folded with small amount of loss at upper left. Dr. Brandt's signature is clean and bright. "The Psychosomatic Concept in Psychoanalysis is a book edited by Felix Deutsch, published in 1953, that explores the deep connection between the mind and body, arguing that psychological issues manifest as complex physical symptoms. It features contributions from leading psychoanalysts like Sidney Margolin, Roy R. Grinker, and Lawrence S. Kubie, who discuss the genetic, dynamic, and therapeutic aspects of psychosomatic disorders, emphasizing that treatment should address the infantile roots of these issues through psychoanalytic principles.
