Full red leather binding rubbed with some soiling; bright gilt borders to boards with gilt-lined edges and gilt inner dentelles; bright gi…lt stamped circular logo for "St. Paul's Preparatory School Colet Court" at front board center; spine leather darkened with five slightly raised bands delineating five gilt tooled compartments and sixth compartment with gilt lettered title label; spine ends scuffed. All edges marbled. Marbled endpapers; presentation award bookplate on front pastedown noting first prize for midsummer term 1891 to student C. Simpson and signed by Head Master J. Bewsher. Remnant toned impression of removed store sticker at ffly's top right; interior pages are otherwise clean. Binding is firm. With color maps including several foldouts.
