Aggiungi al carrelloSlick Magazine. US Semi-prozine, published and edited quarterly from Baltimore by Steven E Fick, three issues published, no 1 (October) 1993, Winter 1994 and Summer 1994. ''A professionally produced magazine with eclectic design (each story set in a different font), it was a good example of what computer-aided design could now produce. With an announced print run high for a semiprozine, Expanse began intrepidly, proclaiming in advertisements: 'Tired of the liberal bias in the stories you read? Expanse doesn't hug trees, isn't afraid to use a raygun and boldly promotes human imperialism'. Expanse published fiction mostly by newer writers, but included some well-known figures such as John Brunner and L Sprague de Camp, and there were Interviews with Brunner, Larry Niven and Poul Anderson in the three issues. Forrest J Ackerman presented a classic reprint section with work by Stanley G Weinbaum and P Schuyler Miller which seemed out of place against the other material striving to be modern. It was liberally illustrated with work by George Barr and Allen Koszowski, amongst others, and had striking cover art. Despite its energetic debut, its fourth issue never appeared'' (Encyclopedia of SF/4th Edition). Fine (unread) copies.
