The text largely consists of timetables for all railroads in the United States, including many small railroads in the South and Midwest. 40 pages at the back contain ads for a wide variety of products, also hotels mainly in New York City. The map shows the United States to Minnesota and eastern Texas, with a large inset map of New York City (lower Manhattan) at the bottom right. This guide was published regularly in the 1850's, apparently starting in 1851. Page 224 is the last page, which corresponds to an 1855 edtion listed as OCLC 9437222. It is not clear whether there is supposed to be an additional back wrapper.…
