Paperback. Condizione: new. Paperback. Have you ever been disappointed that your croissant wasn't *quite* flakey enough? Or perhaps your behind was warmed just a tad too much by the electric seat heater in your luxury SUV. In fact, you may feel that most of modern life's conveniences do not go far enough to make you feel like the important and special person that you are. But what if you had the power to change all that? If you had the power to change the entire world to satisfy your every whim, would it lead to nirvana - or oblivion? The answer to this question is found in this darkly humorous modern fable in which an entitled young boy is inadvertently given ultimate power over his own reality with potentially catastrophic results. The story examines the true nature and ultimate result of the modern "entitlement" culture and has a deep meaning for children and adults alike.Drawing on influences from Roald Dahl, Neil Gaiman, and Edward Gorey, the vivid illustrations of J.E. Larson and the prose of Owen Fitzgeoffrey will appeal to fans of mythology, wizardry, and philosophy.
