Softcover. Condizione: Near Fine. First edition. Translated by Flakoll's widow, Claribel Alegría. Trade paperback. Text in Spanish. Small parallel abrasions on the opening spread, very light general wear, near fine. One of 800 copies printed. Flakoll was born in South Dakota in 1923 and died in Managua in 1995. Published posthumously, "[h]e left this book for his friends" (from the lower wrap). Flakoll and his wife Claribel Alegría collaborated on several projects, including coauthoring *Nicaragua, la revolucio?n sandinista: una cro?nica poli?tica, 1855-1979*, coediting *New Voices of Hispanic America: An Anthology* (Beacon Press, 1962), and translating Miguel Angel Asturias' *The Cyclone* into English. Flakoll also appears to have translated several of Alegría's works into English. Five copies in *OCLC*, four in the U.S. (Princeton, MIT, St. Johns, Occidental).
