Foll…owing a definition and distinguishment of fine trading, factoring and reverse. Advantages and disadvantages are being explained as well. Finally, the influences on the balance sheet of the involved parties and on working capital are investigated.Ten years ago, from 2007 to 2011 the global financial and the euro crisis have caused a peak in bankruptcies of many companies and even states have experienced financial difficulties. Since 2011, the total number of companies' bankruptcies declines. In 2016, there were 21,518 insolvencies of companies in Germany. In contrast to this, in 2010, at the peak of the crisis there were 32,687 insolvencies. Overall, most of the companies in Germany are small and medium-sized enterprises (SME). In 2014, they represented 99.3 percent of all companies in Germany.A proper working capital management is essential for all companies. Especially, SME are otherwise threatened to lack of liquidity or risk to become insolvent. Company funding has experienced profound changes lately. Basel I-III have extensively changed the regulatory circumstances for banks and their granting of credits. Banks must comply with changed regulatory capital and liquidity requirements as well as with new debt caps. This has a strong influence on company funding.Therefore, the rating of a firm and the risk of an investment will increase the price of the company funding. The changed importance of working capital management and the new regulatory requirements have altered companies' financing possibilities and partners. Moreover, the financial crisis has revealed their dependency on certain bankrollers.Thus, other methods of financing suchlike factoring, fine trading, leasing and crowdfunding increased their importance. This paper examines fine trading and factoring regarding their differences, advantages, disadvantages and the methods' influence on the balance sheet.

Altogether, 17,369 deals with a value of 3.2 trillion (tn.) US-Dollars (USD) were performed. There are numerous reasons to invest and divest in inorganic growth. Organic growth has its limitations, thus acquiring competitors, growing vertically or horizontally as well as accessing new markets are strong motivators to do so. Growing a business is often linked with going public. The decision to be part of the stock market and to perform M&A influences an enterprise's value for various reasons.To approach these questions, the first chapter gives a general overview of reasons, motivators, risks and benefits of M&A. Thereafter, the influence of M&A on a company's shareholder value and EPS is examined. Then, the bootstrap effect is explained and subsequently illustrated by an exemplary M&A transaction. Afterwards the risks and benefits of bootstrapping and M&A are analysed to consider its usefulness and influence on the share price and EPS.

Moreover, the recent situation of the shipping branch and the ships' ownership situation (owner-operator relation) are explained. A critical reflection of the regulation and an investigation for creative compliance is given. Concluding, potential business cases and the potential of the market are outlined.Since July 1st 2015, the European Union's (EU) regulation 2015/757 on the monitoring, reporting and verification (MRV) of carbon dioxide emissions from maritime transport became effective. According to EU 2015/757 art. 8, from 1 January 2018, ships voyaging to a port of call under the jurisdiction of a member state are obligated to apply to the regulation 2015/757 and must have a MRV system to report their CO2 emissions. By August 31th 2017, all shipping companies voyaging within the EU area are obligated to prepare a monitoring plan for each of their ships (EU 2015/757 art. 6).

Vice versa, plenty of enterprises use social media as well, for different reasons such as recruiting, employer branding but also for scanning their current and future employees.First, this paper provides a general introduction into Generation Y and social media. Second, the influence of social media on Generation Y and recruiting is discussed. Afterwards, the challenges and requirements to recruit millennials through social media are examined. Concluding, a future perspective shows recent trends and then sums up the findings.

Latest news reports a joint venture between Siemens and Gamesa merging their wind business and creating a new leading market player. If everything proceeds as planned, this will be the next big portfolio change after 2015's acquisition of Dresser-Rand for approximately 7.8 billion USD. These latest developments in general and in particular within the Siemens AG are investigated in this paper with the objective of answering the question: What is the strategy behind M&A and how to evaluate the price of an acquisition Thereby the case of the acquisition of Dresser-Rand Group Inc. by Siemens AG is covered.Handling this topic the first step is defining the strategies to grow a company either with organically or inorganically growth. Subsequently, a closer look is taken at external growth in forms of M&A. The common forms of inorganic growth are introduced and the connected strategy is examined and evaluated. In addition, Siemens' key acquisitions are considered to derive the underlying strategy.The second part highlights how a possible acquisition can be evaluated. Therefore, different approaches are explained and used to value the acquisition of Dresser-Rand by Siemens AG. The different approaches are compared to the original price and each other concluding in a comparison and evaluation of the various methods.

Durch die niedrigeren Zinsen soll die Wirtschaft gestärkt werden. Unternehmen erhalten günstiger Geld für Investitionen und sind daher eher bereit, Kredite aufzunehmen. Diese niedrigen Zinsen erhalten jedoch auch private Kunden. Im klassischen Sparerland Deutschland ärgern sich viele Anleger, dass sie so gut wie keine Zinsen mehr auf klassische Sparanlageformen wie Sparkonten erhalten. In di…esem Jahr verursachte eine Finanzkrise ungewohnten Ausmaßes eine Rezession, von der sich einige Länder bis heute nicht erholt haben. Die Hauptursache für diese Krise wurde im US-amerikanischen und europäischen Immobilienmarkt gesehen. Hier führten ein niedriges Zinsumfeld und eine stark gestiegene Nachfrage nach Wohnimmobilien zu einem rasanten Anstieg der Neukreditvolumina. Bei vielen Krediten war alleine der Wert der Immobilie als Sicherheit für den Kredit für die Kreditvergabe ausschlaggebend. Zukünftige Abkühlungen der Immobilienpreise und fehlende Kapitaldienstfähigkeit bei vielen Darlehensnehmern blieben unberücksichtigt. Mehrere solcher Kredite wurden als Wertpapiere zusammengefasst und an andere Institute verkauft. Dabei erhielten diese Konstrukte von den Ratingagenturen Bestnoten und waren aufgrund der guten Rendite für viele Anleger attraktiv.Als nun die ersten Darlehensnehmer ihre Kredite nicht mehr bedienen konnten, begann eine Finanzkrise bisher ungewohnten Ausmaßes. Die Kreditinstitute mussten nun die als Sicherheit berücksichtigten Immobilien verkaufen, um den Kreditausfall zu kompensieren. Da dies in immer mehr Fällen notwendig war, sanken die Immobilienpreise aufgrund des starken Angebotsüberhanges drastisch und die Banken erlitten hohe Ausfallraten. Die mit gebündelten Immobilienfinanzierungen gestalteten Wertpapiere verloren drastisch an Wert und lösten eine globale Finanzkrise aus. Es folgten eine Reihe regulatorischer Maßnahmen, um eine solche Krise in Zukunft zu vermeiden.

Since 2011, the total number of companies' bankruptcies declines. In 2016, there were 21,518 insolvencies of companies in Germany. In contrast to this, in 2010, at the peak of the crisis there were 32,687 insolvencies. Overall, most of the companies in Germany are small and medium-sized enterprises (SME). In 2014, they represented 99.3 percent of all companies in Germany.A proper working capital management is essential for all companies. Especially, SME are otherwise threatened to lack of liquidity or risk to become insolvent. Company funding has experienced profound changes lately. Basel I-III have extensively changed the regulatory circumstances for banks and their granting of credits. Banks must comply with changed regulatory capital and liquidity requirements as well as with new debt caps. This has a strong influence on company funding.Therefore, the rating of a firm and the risk of an investment will increase the price of the company funding. The changed importance of working capital management and the new regulatory requirements have altered companies' financing possibilities and partners. Moreover, the financial crisis has revealed their dependency on certain bankrollers.Thus, other methods of financing suchlike factoring, fine trading, leasing and crowdfunding increased their importance. This paper examines fine trading and factoring regarding their differences, advantages, disadvantages and the methods' influence on the balance sheet. 24 pp. Englisch.

Organic growth has its limitations, thus acquiring competitors, growing vertically or horizontally as well as accessing new markets are strong motivators to do so. Growing a business is often linked with going public. The decision to be part of the stock market and to perform M&A influences an enterprise's value for various reasons.To approach these questions, the first chapter gives a general overview of reasons, motivators, risks and benefits of M&A. Thereafter, the influence of M&A on a company's shareholder value and EPS is examined. Then, the bootstrap effect is explained and subsequently illustrated by an exemplary M&A transaction.
