Aggiungi al carrelloEncuadernación de tapa blanda. Condizione: Muy bueno. In-4. #1 Apr 1941. (All published). wrappers. The only issue of this unusual Rosario magazine, Nun, was published in April 1941, edited by Manuel Forcada Cabanellas, who, in his youth, had traveled to Spain, become involved with Ultraism, and had met Jorge Luis Borges, one of the members of Nun's editorial board, along with Guillermo de Torre and local figures such as Fausto Hernández, Horacio Correas, Julio Vanzo, Ricardo Warecki, Ángel Guido, among others. However, Nun responded less to the avant-garde ideas of the early 20th century and more to those closely associated with its time and place: Rosario in the early 1940s. Its literary pages featured a few "preview" poems of books that were about to be publishedsuch as those by Facundo Marull, Carlos Carlino, and Horacio Correasas well as the short story "A Man Without Dignity" by Rosa Wernicke. Regarding the visual arts, notes were published on Rodin, museums, a summary of the course taught by Ángel Guido at the Colegio Libre de Estudios Superiores, and a few pages dedicated to brief profiles of artists and illustrators: the already renowned Antonio Berni, Julio Vanzo, Leo Gambartes, and Ricardo Warecki, who also created the magazine's cartoons and served on its editorial board. Nun was part of the numerous magazines that circulated in Rosario in the 1940s, whose early prominence was undoubtedly linked to the projects of Ricardo Ernesto Montes i Bradley, such as the Boletín de Cultura Intelectual, which began publication in 1938, and the magazine Paraná, also from 1941, and towards the end of the decade with the magazines Espiga and Confluencia, among many others. Provenzano only mentions it (Circulo in 1941). Washington Pereyra T4, p395. W4.…
