Fotografia
Vintage studio still photograph from the 1950 film. Based on Dorothy Baker's 1938 novel of the same name. Loosely based on the life of Bix Beiderbeck, an influential jazz cornetist who died prematurely at the age of 28. In the film, Kirk Douglas plays the Beiderbeck character, here named Rick Martin. His career is constantly on the rocks, owing in part to his insistence on improvisation despite his band leader's request he stick to the written music, and in part to his alcoholism. Notable for implying that one of the main characters was homosexual, although this was not overtly expressed in the film. Shot on location in California and New York. 8 x 10 inches. Near Fine.

Aggiungi al carrelloPaperback. Condizione: New. Print on Demand. This book explores the nature of diagonal tension in reinforced concrete beams. It analyzes the mechanics and effects of the components that contribute to diagonal tension in concrete beam structures. The author begins by outlining various theories advanced by engineers and their approaches to this subject. The book then delves into describing the methods and materials used for testing reinforced concrete beam structures to observe the behavior of diagonal tension. The author employs a range of experiments and calculations to assess the resistance of concrete beams to the various stresses that diagonal tension causes. The results shed light on the effectiveness of different reinforcement techniques, including web reinforcement and stirrups, in enhancing the resistance of concrete beams to diagonal tension. This book provides valuable insights for engineers and researchers working with reinforced concrete structures. It deepens the understanding of the complex behavior of diagonal tension in concrete beams and offers practical guidance on designing and reinforcing concrete structures to withstand these stresses effectively. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.
