The Pavillon de l'Arsenal opened its doors to the public in December 1988, in a rehabilitated late-nineteenth century building situated at the heart of the city's historic centre. Its permanent collection, which traces the evolution of Paris in terms of its successive perimeter-walls, sheds light on the city's contemporary situation.
