Aggiungi al carrelloHardcover. Condizione: Very Good. Condizione sovraccoperta: Good. 1st Edition. Rare original 1933 1st edition of "Toward Liquor Control." The book is overall in very good condition with just some minor signs of wear and age. It comes in its rare original dust jacket which is in overall good condition with some mild staining and…some small holes, chips & tears. The jacket comes in a protective removable mylar wrapper. The actual blue cloth covers only have some very minor wear. The binding is good and sound. The interior is lightly toned from age but is generally nice and clean with just some very occasional light foxing or grubbiness. There is a "compliments of" card tucked between the pages from the writer of the Foreward, John D. Rockefeller Jr. Along with that there may be the very occasional page with some kind of minor imperfection, such as a tiny chip, creased page corner, minor stain or marking, etc. Generally though, it's a nice copy. The book measures approximately 7 3/4 inches by 5 1/4 inches and is 220 pages long. Please look at all of the photos to further note the condition.

Aggiungi al carrelloHardcover. Condizione: Very Good. No Jacket. Condition: Very Good; Hardcover, no dustjacket. First Edition. Blue cloth binding with gilt printing on spine. Condition is Very Good with clean covers, tight binding and unmarked interior pages. There is a large inscription on the first endpage in pencil and signed by John W. Rockofe…ller, Jr. John D. Rockefeller, Jr. wrote the introduction but it is doubtful the inscription writer is a relative since he spelled Rockefeller differently. Still a nice copy of this unique book. Photos upon request.

Aggiungi al carrelloFirst edition, "With the Compliments of John D. Rockefeller, Jr." card loosely inserted. Rockefeller was a strong supporter of prohibition, but came to see its repeal as inevitable. He commissioned this study to explore the methods employed by Canadian and European governments to control the sale of alcohol, hoping after repeal…to still maintain a tightly regulated industry and still promote a voluntarily teetotaller society. Octavo. Original blue cloth, spine lettered in gilt. With dust jacket. A couple of short closed tears at head of front panel of unclipped jacket, a few trivial nicks at extremities: a fine copy in near-fine jacket.
