Its first resident pastor, Norwegian immigrant & important Lutheran organizer C. L. Clausen, kept detailed records of its early years, here translated & reproduced. Among his early accomplishments were the founding of the Norwegian Synod in America, several Norwegian-language newspapers and what became Luther College in Decorah, Iowa. The book includes accounts of the tenures of each pastor, family reminiscences & histories, renovations, and activities. Stout hardcover in jacket, as pictured.
