The paper offered here is a continuation of Boole's "The Mathematical Analysis of Logic"(1847), pioneering the assimilation of logic to mathematics.Boole showed that how mathematical techniques could be applied to the study of logic, and as such he laid the foundations for the axiomatic and deductive treatment og logic, the Boolean algebra, which find imortent applications in both probability theory and computing. This mathematication of logic was undertaken by Frege and brought to a climax by Whitehead and Russell.
