Decorated with typographic and woodcut ornaments. Full blindstamped calf with red leather spine label titled in gilt. Fine in slipcase. This first printed collection of Paman's poetry follows the Rawlinson manuscripts where possible. Paman (1612-63) was a contemporary of Davenant, Suckling, Crashaw and Lovelace though not, apparently, a member of the Cavalier circle. Like theirs, his work exhibits the strong influence of John Donne. …
