Hardcover. Condizione: Fair. No Jacket. 12mo. 188 pages. Hardcover bound in brown cloth. The binding is bumped and worn and has pale spotting on the spine. Binding dulled form use. A sound copy with secure inner hinges. Endpapers foxed. Text is toned and smudged. A few pages at the front have chips at the bottom corners. A sturdy copy. The authors were from North Carolina. Julius Foust was the President of the State Normal and Industrial College (now UNCG) in Greensboro, NC. Isaac Griffin was the Superintendent of the City Schools in Marion, NC. Thomas Foust was the Superintendent of the Guilford County Schools, also from Greensboro.

Hardcover. Condizione: Very Good. This is the original 1906 edition of the classic and scarce North Carolina Edition of "A Spelling Book." This copy has stains on cover, some water markings, but text is clean as a whistle, though browned. Light professional restoration work. Only mark in book is previous owner's name on inside back cover: "Viola Pinnix, Dec. 8 -'09". Only copy on internet. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
