A pair of small, purple dingbats (decorative elements) stamped on FFEP and as well reappear a few other times in the book. Two previous owner labels (William H. Schmieding, Cincinnati) including one on the title page that had been pasted over another previous owner's signature (possibly a J.J. Edw.? Adams or some such).
