Textblocks have pink labels on the front pastedowns indicating 1953 revisions have been added, and maps have extensive hand coloring added, possibly by the editor Frank Klinge. Cloth index tabs are attached to the pages, has light age toning along the edges, and a range of light to moderate stains on some pages throughout both volumes. Volume 1 leaves are cloth-backed.
