Cloth. Condizione: Near Fine. No Jacket. W.H.Gallaway (illustratore). 1st Edition. Light blue cloth with gilt lettering/ design to front and spine. This copy is NEAR FINE. No DJ. Exterior is rich. Gilt is bright. Spine is modestly sun lightened with a couple of very small lighter spots. Edges/tips/ spine ends with minimal wear. Inside has neat PO signature to front paste down dated 1903. Otherwise unmarked, crisp, and tight with modest toning. TEG. Frontispiece with tissue guard. Illustrations by W.H. Gallaway. Nice.

Hardcover. Condizione: Good. Burnt orange cloth with upper board lettering and decorations in gilt, second edition, 12mo, pp. viii, 108. Top edge gilt. Frontis illustration of the author, who would go on to become Georgia's first Poet Laureate. Introduction by Stanton colleague Joel Chandler Harris. Previous owner short gift inscription to her son on the title page. Some pages with marginal foxing but most are clean. Exterior soiling to the cloth shows more obviously than if publisher had chosen a darker color. Withal, a GOOD and serviceable ensample of this uncommon title.

No edition/printing statement provided. 192 pages. Hardcover: H 20.25cm x L 13.75cm. No dust jacket present (i.e. lacking). Blue cloth with mild mottling/soiling; spine cloth darkened with head frayed; spine's lettering dulled but discernable; front board's title lettering remains reasonably bright. Text block edges toned. Strong toning to front and rear free endpapers with lighter toning to pastedowns; past owner's O'Casey family Mississippi and Ireland genealogical-themed bookplate affixed upon front pastedown; ink number stamp at ffep's upper right (past owner's personal catalog#); foxing to frontispiece and its adjoining leaves but interior pages overall remain clean. Binding is firm. Collection of poems by Frank L. Stanton of the Atlanta Constitution who authored a daily column "Just From Georgia" from circa 1890 through 1926 and was appointed Poet Laureate of Georgia from 1925-1927 by Governor Clifford Walker.
