In 1922 he was expelled from Soviet Russia and lived in Berlin, in 1945 moved to Britain. He and his wife are buried in Hendon Cemetery in London. Semyon Liudvigovich Frank was a proponent of all-unity , who sought to overcome the polarities in modern thought through a universal philosophical synthesis. Contents of the book. He would be later elected Head of the prestigious Russian Scientific Institute in Berlin, in 1931. During WWII, with the assistance of his friend, author J. R. R. Tolkien, Frank moved with his family to London.
