Chipping around the edges of the front cover with a five inch long strip missing from the right edge. The front cover also has a two inch blue stain to the left side with this also affecting the first 15 pages to reducing degrees. Chipping to the edges of the rear cover. Two inch closed tears at the top and bottom left corners of the front cover next to the spine. Four inch closed tear to the bottom right corner of the rear cover next to the spine. Quite heavy spotting to the bottom of the first page and browning and spotting to the first and last few pages. A few light stains and marks to the pages with a few edge tears and the pages are browned but are otherwise generally unmarked. Illustrations at the beginning of each story. Postage charge will be reduced by £1.50 when the order is processed.

Vintage reference photograph from the 1953 film serial, showing actor Judd Holdren in costume as Commando Cody. From the archive of film historian and author Joel Finler. The series followed the titular masked super-scientist as he investigated of a string of climate disasters on Earth, eventually uncovering a nefarious plot to take over the planet by aliens from Venus. Originally intended to be broadcast on television as a 12-episode weekly series, the series was first released theatrically in 1953 as a 12-chapter weekly serial, and was syndicated to television in 1955 on NBC. 10 x 8 inches. Very Good plus, lightly and evenly age toned.
