Condizione: Very Good. Original B/W double weight film still photograph of actress Franca Marzi, as "Katia" in the swashbuckling adventure "Revenge of the Black Eagle" (1951), here under a working title (or weak translation). Mimeo snipe affixed to the verso, with red pencil check at her name, with brief synopsis. Marzi was quintessential Italian femme fatale, landing several roles as such, her debut in Gallone's "Harlem" (1943), and several peplum-style (sword-and-sandal, pirates included) films, including this one. Others: The Nights of Cabiria (1957), Fortunella (1958), The Masked Pirate (1949), Figaro qua, Figaro là (1950). An early image of Marzi, with hair tied back, in white peasant blouse and large earrings. Little is documented of Marzi beyond basic film credits, but her career lasted 34 years, however eclipsed by heavy-hitters like Sophia Loren, Silvana Mangano, and Claudia Cardinale. 8 x 10 inches. Very Good Plus, brief creases and foxing, faint curl.
