Prima edizione
Softcover. History of pharmacology and antipsychotics. Until the 1950's, no effective drug therapy for mental illness existed. Chlorpromazine was synthesized in 1951, and its introduction transformed disturbed wards. Its commercial success stimulated the development of other psychotropic drugs. After the psychiatric establishment received CPZ, "for psychiatrists on the front line it was a miracle drug." This booklet covers the therapy associated with SmithKlein's formulation, Thorazine, as it was in the 1980's - its clinical pharmacology and details on seven clinical uses, such as schizophrenia, childhood psychosis, and manic-depressive psychosis. Near fine; pristine text but some minor shelfware on covers.

Soft cover. Condizione: Very Good. Department of Public Relations, Smith Kline & French Laboratories, Philadelphia, no date given but circa 1965. These six reports were issued by the pharmaceutical conglomerate for the use of pharmacy personnel, probably, when they were attending meetings or conferences. Each report is standard 8-1/2 x 11 inches and each runs about 12-15 pages on average. Each report has a colored cover. Staple bound. Illus. with line drawings. These reports are all in very good to nearly new condition with the exception of one that has a slight stain on upper free corner of back cover. Perhaps of interest to those in the medical profession, but the report on audio-visual aids will be of nostalgic value only. More info on request.
